Official Ultra4 vehicle numbering, number plate and class identification requirements for all competition vehicles.
All vehicles in competition must be identified with the correct entrant number.
Entrant numbers shall be composed of a combination of the digits 0 through 9 only.
Entrant numbers shall be assigned annually to Drivers of Record on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event of a conflict, seniority based on the date on which the Driver of Record first competed in an Ultra4 event will determine the outcome, with OG13 having first right, 2008 King of the Hammers second right, and so on.
Vehicles must display entrant numbers on the front, both sides and rear of the vehicle. Any number location deemed by Ultra4 to be too difficult to read must be changed before the vehicle is allowed to compete.
Entrants are advised that checkpoint staff will not allow vehicles to continue after stopping until entrant numbers have been verified.
Ultra4 reserves the right to require race vehicle numbers and/or background colors to be changed.
Ultra4 assumes no responsibility for scoring vehicles with unrecognizable numbers. It is the driver's responsibility to maintain entrant numbers in a recognizable condition.
All vehicles must utilize a number plate located behind the B Pillar and offset in from the side panels of the vehicle to protect from mud. In addition to the side number plates, all vehicles must have one front facing and one rear facing number plate with the same color combination as the side number plate.
Side number plates must be 7” (175mm) tall with 1” (25mm) brush stroke in Arial Narrow font only. Front and rear facing numbers must be 6" (150mm) tall.
All competitors registered in the Rookie program are required to run a red number (PMS 485) with a white ¼” inch outline.
