Toyo Tires Desert Challenge Top Finishers to earn top qualifying positions for 2026 Race of Kings

To celebrate the battle between T1s and 4400’s in the Toyo Tires Desert Race coveted qualifying spots will be awarded to finishers of the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge

Rules:

• All finishers of the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge Unlimited Race will receive qualifying spots for Race of Kings. The entrant must complete 100% of therace (5 Laps) within the designated cut off period and be an official finisher.Entrants who do not finish the entire race or finish after the cut off time will not be eligible for a qualifying spot. This is open to all competitors in all classes (T1, T2 and B1) in the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge Unlimited Race. Entrants subjected to penalties that push them over the official finish time will not be awarded start positions.
• Even Numbered spots (right hand side of grid) of the Race of Kings qualifying grid will be awarded to finishers of the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge – 1 st place will receive 2 nd starting position, 2nd place will receive 4th , 3rd place will receive 6th . This pattern continues until all finishers are awarded positions. There is no limit on the number of starting positions for Race of Kings awarded to finishers of the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge.
• Competitors do not need to race in the same vehicle for the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge and the Race of Kings
• Competitors wishing to take up a start position earnt by their finish in Race of Kings MUST have registered for Race of Kings and paid in full any race fees,USAC Memberships, trackers and transponder fees prior to 4pm Tuesday 3rd of February 2026 utilizing the entry portal on the King of the Hammers website. If an entry to Race of Kings has not been processed by this time the competitor will forfeit their assigned start position. In the instance a competitor who has earnt a start position does not elect to race Race of Kings then all other start positions earnt through the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge will move up to fill unused spots on the even side of the grid.
• A competitor with a starting grid position earnt through the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge may elect to take part in Qualifying for Race of Kings on Wednesday 4th of February 2026 and may improve on their position however will not forfeit their earnt position. Regardless of qualifying result a competitor will not start lower than the position they earnt by finishing the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge. If a Toyo Tires Desert Challenge competitor moves up the Race of Kings qualifying order through improved qualification, then all remaining Toyo Tire Desert Challenge qualifiers will move up a position to fill the empty position on the grid.
• Race of Kings start positions earnt through finishing the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge are non-transferrable. The driver of record must be the same for both events. Please refer to the 2026 Ultra4 Rulebook 10.2.1 1. Driver of Record must start or finish every event in a competing race vehicle bearing his/her assigned entrant number.
