Oskar Blues and DsquaredRacing Join Forces for the 2015 Mint 400
Colorado-based DsquaredRacing is proud to announce a partnership with Oskar Blues Brewery for the 2015 Polaris RZR Mint 400, presented by General Tire, and dubbed “The Great American Offroad Race,” in Las Vegas this March. The team is a dedicated Ultra 4 racing team that will temporarily suspend their Ultra4 number, 4441, in exchange for Class 1, car #1544. D2R will feature its Trent Fabrication Top Shelf IFS car for the second year in a row, on their third participation in the legendary race.
Oskar Blues Brewery, originators of craft beer in a can, offers unCANventional beers, including Dale’s Pale Ale, Old Chub Scotch Ale, Pinner Throwback IPA, Deviant Dale’s American IPA, G’Knight Imperial Red IPA, Ten FIDY Imperial Stout, Mama’s Little Yella Pils, and Gubna Imperial IPA. For the 2015 Mint 400, Oskar Blues will produce a custom Mint 400 can filled with Mama’s Little Yella Pils. A limited number of the custom 19.2 oz cans will be available during the Mint 400, as well as through Terrible Herbst convenience stores in Las Vegas.
Founded as a brewpub by Dale Katechis in 1997, Oskar Blues Brewery launched the craft beer-in-a-can movement in 2002 using a tabletop machine that sealed a single can at a time. Oskar Blues has a history in motorsports that includes being the first and only craft beer at Charlotte Motor Speedway and sponsorships of a three-vehicle Sprint Car team. Oskar Blues-fueled events will be scheduled all week leading up to the Mint 400, and the DSquaredRacing Team is excited to bring a taste of Colorado to the desert.
“I couldn’t be more excited to represent Oskar Blues in the Mint –and the fact we are both from Colorado is icing on the cake!” said Darren Henke, driver for DsquaredRacing.
