Staying on Course at Hammerking Productions Inc.

JOHNSON VALLEY, CA,  MARCH 2, 2011   Hammerking Productions,Inc. will no longer be lead jointly by founders of the company, Jeff Knoll and Dave Cole, effective March 15th, 2011. Jeff has made the decision to explore new adventures and is leaving the organization that both he and Dave took from a concept to one of the most successful off road races in America.
In Jeff’s own words: “Starting with an idea scratched on a napkin now known as King of the Hammers, and the related qualifier series of Ultra4 events have far exceeded my goals. It has been a pleasure to work with all of the teams and sponsors over the last 5 years. I will leave the wheel and the throttle of Hammerking Productions, Inc. in the capable hands of Dave Cole and his management team as I explore the next adventure in my life.”
Dave will be working full time on Hammerking Productions effective immediately. “We have a responsibility to our stake holders. The teams, vendors and fans will continue to receive the World Class events they have come to know and expect from Hammerking. It is our goal to make this transition as seamless as possible”, says Cole, who is in the process of assembling a dedicated team that includes Hammerking veteran, Chris Bolger.
Hammerking Productions, Inc created a race called King of the Hammers, commonly known as the toughest one-day race in the world.  The recent 2011 Griffin King of the Hammers was the 5th running with over 15,000 people in attendance cheering on 100 competitors that had to qualify for the prestigious race.  Hammerking Productions has termed the cars and series as Ultra4, referring to the 4 wheel drive mandatory requirement.  Ultra4 has turned into a series called the International Endurance Championship consisting of six organized races.  The races produced by Hammerking Production include the Stampede Race, Rausch Creek Qualifier, American Rock Sports Challenge and the new Glen Helen Grand Prix.  Hammerking Productions produced three full feature films to date: 2008 First Crusade King of the Hammers, 2009 King of the Hammers Second Crusade and 2010 King of the Hammers Anarchy.  They have also produced TV shows highlighting King of the Hammers for Spike TV’s PowerBlock and the Speed Channel.  In 2011, Hammerking Productions will produce another full feature movie featuring the 2011 Griffin King of the Hammers and a TV production for Lucas Oil On The Edge.
Fresh off the successful running of the 2011 Griffin King of the Hammers, the team at Hammerking is preparing for the next stop on the Ultra4 Racing Tour; BITD’s Silver State 300 in Las Vegas, NV.
