The 2021 King of the Hammers COVID General Information
Thank you for your commitment and interest in the King of the Hammers. We all know this is an unprecedented time. We appreciate your attention to the following information.
Thousands of people flock to Johnson Valley OHV Area regularly for much needed outdoor recreation. We understand that public land is public. However, as a concerned community, we ask that regardless of your personal perspective, everyone in attendance do their part to help ensure a safe environment for drivers, vendors, staff, fans and media alike.
Hammertown is the gated and fenced outdoor area on Means Dry Lake Bed. It is the location for the start/finish, team pits, and vendor companies that support our race teams.
Access to Hammertown requires a negative COVID test and adherence to increased safety guidelines. Everyone must wear a face covering, wash their hands regularly, and practice social distancing as aligned with State and Local guidelines. Hand sanitizer stations, ample signage and additional cleaning procedures will be provided througout Hammertown.
If you are coming to the lakebed to recreate or watch the racing outside Hammertown on public land, you are not required to provide a negative test, however, you will be required to take a temperature check and provide a health declaration.
General Admission Tickets – $30 in advance online ($40 on site at the gate) allows access to Lakebed and dispersed camping
