JUNE 5th, 2014, RANCHO CORDOVA, CA: For the 2nd year in a row, thousands of fans and more than 100 of the toughest off road race vehicles are expected to descend upon the Prairie City, SVRA Park for a jam-packed race weekend at the MetalCloak ULTRA4 Stampede. Many of the vehicles participating in the event also competed in the annual Griffin King of The Hammers Presented by Nitto Tire. The event is expected to be the largest regional ULTRA4 race to date.
Racing will be held on a 2 mile course that combines technical rock sections, jumps and high speed wheel-to-wheel racing. The vehicles are all 4-wheel-drive. There will be at least 5 classes racing. The main event will feature the unlimited 4WD cars known as ULTRA4s, but fans can also expect to see some daily driver Jeeps and Toyotas competing in the stock and modified classes, and some competition buggies competing in the new Legends class. UTVs will also be racing this weekend. Spectators can expect great views of the course as they watch 20 plus cars race side by side through the tight and technical course.
The ULTRA4 drivers are competing not only for a $10,000 purse, but also for one of ten qualifying spots for the 2015 Griffin King of The Hammers which takes place annually in Johnson Valley, CA. This is the first race in the Trail-Gear Western Regional Series, the next race will be held July 11th and 12th at Glen Helen Raceway in Southern California. The next 4WD Hardware Eastern Regional Race will be held June 27th and 28th in Attica, IN.

ULTRA4 racing began in 2007 with a dozen friends competing for bragging rights. Seven years later, more than 400 cars compete nationally and internationally in ULTRA4 races.
