PROLOGUE ORDER AND STAGING TIMES
2024 Toyo Tires Desert Challenge Presented by Monster Energy
Limited and Unlimited Races
The 2024 Prologue will be a 35 mile loop starting and finishing in Hammertown. The time trial will be conducted with single vehicles starting at predetermined intervals.
1400/1450 Rush competitors will be starting 2 vehicles side by side for their race.
Results for Prologue will determine start order for Sunday’s race as well as be added to Sunday’s race time for overall results of the Toyo Tires Desert Challenge. Racers that do not finish the Prologue will be awarded the slowest time in their class plus 10 minutes.
Please find attached the start order for the Prologue event. Times are subject to change due to late entries. Additional instructions will be available at the drivers meeting at 7pm Friday January 26.
Staging for Saturday, January 27, 2024. Enter at Gate 9.
- 6:35 am – B2 + B3: UTV Open
- 7:00 am – B3: UTV Pro Modified
- 7:30 am – B3: UTV Pro Stock Turbo
- 7:50 am – B3: UTV Pro Stock NA
- 8:20 am – T3, B4, T4
- 9:00 am – 1400 + 1450
- 9:45am – T1
- 10:30 am – B1
- 11:00 am – T2
Teams are encouraged to tech early at the Tech Tent in Hammertown Friday, January 26 from 8am to 4pm. If teams are unable to tech early then please arrive for staging 30 minutes early.
Trackers and transponders will be fitted during tech / staging. Please refer to Rallysafe KOH Installation instructions for key information regarding mounting and wiring requirements of the Rallysafe unit.
The Baja Vida Class 11 Showdown Presented by EMPI will kick off at 3:00pm following the completion of the Prologue with an exciting Land Rush Start on Melville Lake. Further instructions for staging will be sent directly to entered competitors.
