Mojavewifi.com offers Wifi for Vendors, Spectators, and Teams, at 2018 Nitto King of the Hammers powered by Optima Batteries
Mojavewifi is proud to offer wifi access for the 2018 Nitto King of the Hammers! Like previous years, 2 different systems are available.
Early bird pricing is available NOW until January 20th for Private hotspot packages A and B. After January 20th, prices will increase for Packages A and B.
****IMPORTANT**** NEW FOR THIS YEAR – ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER of Package A and Package B customers can be accepted – ORDER NOW TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE PROVIDED SERVICE.
The number of Package A, and Package B installations that Mojavewifi can provide is based on the available internet bandwidth for this event; therefore, only a limited number of installations are available! Please get your order in and paid as soon as possible so we can estimate bandwidth needs correctly for the event. Last year we made some last minute add ons but this year, we expect demand to greater than in the past and we MAY NOT have the ability to add customers when we get on the Lakebed, so please order service now.
****REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION****
Package A and Package B Private Hotspot installations should be purchased and scheduled in advance for Sponsors, Vendor locations, Team Pits and Team Camping areas, and also for Spectator campers with RV’s of any sort. A roof top of an RV or trailer and AC electricity is required for Private Hotspots. Private wifi packages A or B can be installed anywhere in Hammertown and almost anywhere on the Lake-bed.
***HOW PACKAGE A and B WORK***
Private hotspots feature your groups own connection with our antenna and a router which is password protected for your use only. With these packages, the wifi router is placed inside of the area you wish it to “work for sure” like inside an RV or outdoors like in a pit when protected from the weather. An outdoor antenna is placed on the rooftop of a RV / Hauler (without hurting anything) and connected wirelessly to the network. The rooftop antenna is on a wooden platform and is weighted from the wind with a few sandbags. A ethernet cable is installed to go to the router we provide. We have never damaged anyones RV or other equipment with this setup. Typical download speed is approx 7 mbit download depending on the use of the community. Mojavewifi.com makes no guarantee of data security, or that the network is safe to use. It is the same as use at any other public wifi access location such as a coffee shop, starbucks etc..
These private hotspot packages require a $150.00 equipment deposit which is refunded when the equipment is returned in working condition. Prepayment for Private Hotspots is required. AC power in your area is required for use.

Package A: Early Bird Price – $359 until January 20th (after January 20th – $399) Small group of a few users.
7 days of access, up to 3 devices. Mojavewifi technicians will connect up to 3 of your wifi devices onto a our private router at the time of setup. Speed is approximately 7 mbits download by 3 upload. Speed will vary based on usage of the community at any given time and is not guaranteed. This package includes use of our wireless router located in your RV, Hauler, team tent or vending trailer/tent etc. The service is set up for your use at your location for best signal strength on the devices you choose to have access.
Package B: Early Bird Price – $459 until January 20th (after January 20th – $499)
Sponsors, Vendor / Large Team / Camping circle Group package – 7 days of access, up to 25 devices (or more**)
Package B provides a private Hotspot at your location which allows up to 25 total registered devices. Speed is approximately 7 mbits download by 3 upload. Speed will vary based on usage of the community at any given time and is not guaranteed. This package allows the wifi to be used with a password which you can share with customers,, friends or keep private for your core user group only. Up to 25 devices can be used in your area within range of the wireless router we provide. Range is limited to the vending area to entice customers to come see your vending space by granting them wifi access. Hammertown Public Hotspot access during the event has a value to your customer of $140.00 per device!!! Encourage purchases with a bonus for your customer. These packages are also perfect for sponsors, vendors, teams, and Spectators RV wagon circles and groups where more than 3 users are served.
**Additional single devices can be added on site to your Private hotspots for $50.00 per device regardless of time left in the week. **Additional blocks of 25 users can be purchased for $200.00 per block with Package A or B anytime during the event regardless of the date of purchase. A flat roof of an RV or trailer and AC power in your area is required for Package A and B use. Packages A or B does not include access to public “KOH-Mojavewifi” Hammertown Hotspots in Hammertown / Spectator Areas and may be purchased separately.
** For ALL internet access services, Mojavewifi.com makes no guarantee of data security, end to end encryption or that the network is safe to use. It is the same as use at any other public wifi access location such as a coffee shop, starbucks, public wifi, etc.
**Use the service at your own risk. It is strongly recommended to use proper device security methods and anti-virus and anti-malware for your internet devices including computers, laptops, phones, tablets, etc. PLEASE VIRUS SCAN YOUR DEVICES BEFORE BRINGING THEM TO THE LAKEBED TO AVOID BEING BLOCKED OFF THE NETWORK, this is really important Virus activity can cause your device to be blocked off the network.!!!! Devices that are blocked off the network will not be allowed to reconnect unless clean.
***ON SITE SUPPORT*** Mojavewifi will be on site for customer support during the entire KOH week beginning at 10am each day. We will be located in the middle of Smittybilt St. behind FOX
MOJAVEWIFI PUBLIC HOTSPOTS on the “KOH-Mojavewifi” network
Mojavewifi will have many public Hammertown Hotspots to provide roaming wifi access throughout most of Hammertown’s vendor areas. Several hotspots will be in the team pits, and a few Public Hotspots will be in camping areas along Boone Road. We also hope to get Hotspots installed at Backdoor and Chocolate Thunder and possibly other places.
ONE DEVICE SERVICE OPTIONS: Access is purchased for ONE device for the time period purchased. Access Time starts at the moment of purchase and runs continuously until it expires. Purchase public Hotspot access wherever you can connect to “KOH-Mojavewifi” with good wifi performance. For best results, make your wifi purchase from somewhere very near a wifi hotspot where there is the best signal. See the Hammertown Spectator Map for locations. After you connect, open a web browser and it will bring up a payment option page that will allow you to pay with a credit card for 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days of Hotspot usage for one device. 1) 24 hours – one device* – 25.00 – Get Public Hammertown Hotspots access anywhere you can get good performance on “KOH-Mojavewifi” or KOH-mojohotspots”. Hotspots are located in most spectator areas and all over Hammertown.
2) 3 days – one device* – $65.00 – Get Public Hammertown Hotspots access anywhere you can get good performance on “KOH-Mojavewifi” or KOH-mojohotspots”. Hotspots are located in most spectator areas and all over Hammertown.
3) 7 days – one device* – 140.00 – Get Public Hammertown Hotspots access anywhere you can get good performance on “KOH-Mojavewifi” or KOH-mojohotspots”. Hotspots are located in most spectator areas and all over Hammertown.
***Public Hammertown Hotspots coverage may not be available in all areas – especially INSIDE vendor trailers, motorhomes and other vehicles when using the KOH-Mojavewifi Public Hotspots. Wifi signal does not always penetrate all construction materials for RV’s, motorhomes, toy-haulers, and vending trailers.
Vendors teams and Campers who want be sure to have access inside motorhomes / trailers are encouraged to purchase one of our private wifi hotspot packages either A or B. (see above)
