4 Wheel Parts Named Presenting Sponsor of 2015 King of The Hammers

4 Wheel Parts, the global leader in truck and Jeep accessories, aftermarket parts, performance products and installation, has been named the presenting sponsor of the 2015 King of the Hammers event in Johnson Valley, CA. A subsidiary of global automotive retailer Transamerican Auto Parts, 4 Wheel Parts’ partnership with KOH serves to enhance TAP’s existing support of the event, which includes title sponsorship of the Smittybilt Everyman Challenge.

“King of the Hammers provides us with the ultimate proving ground to test the products we sell and install at our stores.” TAP President and CEO, Greg Adler – also a competitor in the elite ULTRA4 division, believes that the partnership is a natural fit for the 4 Wheel Parts brand.

Transamerican Auto Parts (TAP) has completed an agreement with Hammerking Productions that names its subsidiary, 4 Wheel Parts, the global leader in truck and Jeep accessories, aftermarket and performance products and installation, the presenting sponsor of this month’s King of the Hammers (KOH) event. The partnership enhances Transmerican’s existing backing of the weeklong event which includes title sponsorship of the Everyman Challenge support race by Transamerican Manufacturing Group division, Smittybilt.
Covering more than 200 miles on a course in Johnson Valley, California combining high-speed desert racing with technical rock climbing, King of the Hammers is recognized as America’s toughest one-day off-road race.
“From wheels and tires to suspension components, King of the Hammers provides us with the ultimate proving ground to test the products we sell and install at our stores,” said Adler. “While we’re also out there competing, this arena is the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our brands while interacting with the true off-road enthusiasts out on the rocks and in the desert. We’re proud to elevate our support of the event as it has grown into such a significant race on the calendar.”
Under the guidance of Hammerking Productions President Dave Cole, King of the Hammers has evolved from a small gathering of competitors into a nationally recognized event attracting enormous crowds descending on the California desert to witness participants from across the globe climb colorfully named obstacles and race across the open terrain in purpose-built vehicles.
“When we started this, we had no idea it would grow to this size. It’s humbling,” said Cole. “We’ve been very fortunate to have people like Greg Adler and 4 Wheel Parts to build this event alongside us over time. In the beginning, Greg and I would talk about the event and he’d give me his insights – and now, they are a fantastic partner of ours. We wouldn’t be where we are without amazing sponsors and great racers who are bringing in the crowds. Together we are growing King of the Hammers and ULTRA4 Racing.”
In 2014, King of the Hammers brought an estimated 60,000 people to Johnson Valley while nearly 400,000 viewers looked in on the action via live internet broadcast making it the largest-viewed off-road racing event in the country.
“There is nothing like it in all of off-road,” concluded Adler.
