Nicole Dreon-9

Course Marshalls will be paid $100 per full day worked – commitment for entire event

Expectations

  • Check-in with your assigned Course Captain each day by 6:00AM.
    • We will provide the location for check-in before you arrive to the lakebed via an update email.
  • Remaining at your assigned position until released by race ops.
    • Plan for a full day away from Hammertown.  We can only relieve your position if there is an emergency.
  • Attach a tracker to your vehicle to allow for easier dispatch to calls for assistance.
  • Provide your own radio programmed to race ops channels.
    • We are working with our vendors to offer a discounted radio to purchase.  Details will be provided in email at a later date.

Recovery Team $100 per day – 10-15 teams needed per day depending on the race

Expectations of rock recovery teams

  • 2 capably staffed rigs (10 teams needed)
    • 2 people per rig will be paid $100/day.
    • Rig must have functioning winch.
    • Must have proper recovery kit with recovery straps; soft shackle etc.
  • Check-in with your assigned Course Captain each day you commit to work by 6:00AM.
    • We will provide the location for check-in before you arrive to the lakebed via an update email.
  • Remaining at your assigned position until released by race ops.
    • Plan for a full day away from Hammertown.  We can only relieve your position if there is an emergency or your rig breaks.

    • 2 people per rig will be paid $100/day.

Auxiliary Course Marshall

Don't want to commit to working a position for the duration?  We still need you too and we will still pay you $100/day!  However, we will fill positions first with staff that can commit to the duration of a particular position.

Free 2023 KOH GA Entry & Camping Pass for paid positions!

Once you have completed the Course Worker Sign Up and have been confirmed for a position, we will send a private link for your* discounted entry and camping pass to be purchased in advance of arriving at the lakebed.  **No free entry at gate for Course Workers or Volunteers in 2023**

Auxiliary Volunteer Force

If you are not able to commit to a position, we still need your help!  As you can imagine, it takes a LOT of people to keep the Participants and Competitors at King of the Hammers safe, so this year we are introducing our Auxiliary Volunteer Force, think Quick Reaction Force.  We will provide vests and you will provide additional support to our Course Workers during special events or at areas with additional crowd control needs.

  • Please note you will need to be able to be reached during the race.  Either cell (which is NOT reliable) or radio programmed with race ops channels.  We are working with our race radio vendors to provide a discounted radio for purchase.  Details will come at a later date.

Course Worker Appreciation Dinner

The coveted dinner invite of the year is back again for 2023!  Secure your entry ticket by being a Course Worker for at least one full shift!

You can also gain entry as an Auxiliary Course Worker by pitching in for two or more days!  After having your band scanned in/out for more than one day of work AND returning your vest, you will be added to the entry list!

The dinner will be held Thursday night and we will send out additional details as we get closer to the event!

Course Worker Appreciation Raffle

Back by popular demand is the Raffle!  Our Vendors and Partners have donated some awesome prizes again this year and we will raffle them off after the Course Worker Appreciation dinner on Thursday.

Course Workers will receive an entry for each day they check in for their position.  The more days you work, the better your odds of winning!

Auxiliary Volunteer Force teammates will receive a single raffle entry to thank them for their support.

Course Worker T-Shirts

We will once again be giving everyone that helps out in any capacity a T-Shirt to commemorate the dirt, sweat and tears we shared on the lakebed.

Please be sure to specify your size when you confirm your position sign up.  We will associate your shirt size to your wristband to insure you get the correct size.

Payment Details

Payments will be credited approximately 30 days after we pack up Hammertown and leave the lakebed.  Before processing can begin, we must have your W-9 and preferred payment method choice.  We will provide the link to the W-9 form and payment choices as we confirm assignments and lock in the schedule.
