2023 KOH Course Worker Program

We have a lot of exciting changes in store for the 2023 King of the Hammers!  First off the line will be the changes to how we keep our Competitors and Participants safe during the races.  All the details can be found on our updated KOH Course Worker Details page, but here are the highlights!

 Paid Course Worker Positions

  • Course Marshalls ("CM")

    • Paid $100 per day.

    • Preference given to CM's who can work the same post for the whole event.

  • Auxiliary Course Marshalls ("ACM")

    • Paid $100 per day.

    • We will fill posts with those that can commit to the same post for the duration of the event and then pull from the ACM pool.

  • Recovery Teams

    • Paid $100 per day.

    • Team = 2 people per rig w/working winch

      • Additional paid position benefits

        • Receive free entry and camping pass per Course Worker if processed in advance. **No free entry at gate for Course Workers or Volunteers in 2023**

        • Entry to Appreciation Dinner on Thursday night.

        • Entry to raffle for every full day you are checked in to work.

Unpaid Volunteer Positions

  • Auxiliary Volunteer Force

    • Not a paid position, but not any less appreciated!

    • Providing additional crowd control in high Participant concentrated areas.

    • Giving us eyes all around the course to pitch in and help where needed.

    • Not committed to a specific area or for a full day.

    • Does not qualify for free entry or camping pass. **No free entry at gate for Course Workers or Volunteers in 2023**

    • Entry to Appreciation Dinner on Thursday night.

    • Raffle drawing entry when you return your vest.
